Highly private information (medical information, taxes, pension, etc.) is not contained in the My Number Card.
In addition, the card cannot be misused simply by knowing the My Number (12 digits) on the back of the card.
When your My Number Card is used as a health insurance card, medical facilities/pharmacies can view insurance eligibility information. Other data such as medical information (past medications, medical care information, etc.) can only be viewed with your permission. (Refer to the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare’s Q & A page.)
